Ntontom Water Project

Background:

Ntontom is a small community with approximately 1,200 residents in the Central Region.

There was no well in Ntontom. The people sourced their water from a small stream, which was not suitable for drinking. This resulted in severe cases of diarrhea, some of which were life-threatening. Since there is no healthcare facility in the village, these illnesses could be fatal for the elderly, the sick, or young children.

The village, therefore, requested the construction of a well.

Project Description:

The construction of a mechanized well with a tap and a storage tank has now ensured the community’s access to safe drinking water.

Status: Completed in September 2023
Cost: €7,800 – Funded by Monika and Dirk Homberg and Friends
