Sanwa water project
Sanwa is a community of about 1.000 inhabitants, mainly inhabited by farmers. It is located in the Banda District in the Brong Ahafo region.
The villagers have no access to sufficient clean drinking water. There is only one well there, which is constantly out of order due to overload. If the well is out of order, people fetch polluted water from streams and rivers, and put themselves at risk of catching serious illnesses.
We could help by building a mechanized water supply with storage tanks and several taps. Also, a special water committee had been set up for its maintenance and the people had been trained for the maintenance work.
