Dominase is located in the Bekwai district, in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. It is located about 18 kilometres from Kumasi. The community is mainly inhabited by farmers. Dominase has a population of more than 7,000 and has five schools, with a total of 1,160 students.

The community of Dominase was facing a major problem with the supply of drinking water. In fact, this community had only two wells, one of which is completely out of order. There was always pressure on the well’s borehole, so it often failed.

Since there was not sufficient clean and safe drinking water, the people were inevitably dependent on the water supply from worm-stricken ponds or streams.
To this end, the community reached out to the Madamfo Ghana Foundation, to help them find a donor, who would help solve the water problem in the village.

The mechanization and rehabilitation of the water supply was financed by a donation run of the Lessing School Bochu, Germany and the support of the donor association of the school.

Status: completed
Costs of expansion: 12.000,00€
